This collar belongs to a particularly shaggy dog, named for the peculiar color of her eyes.
Unfortunately, the dog grew to be so shaggy that her matted fur always covered her eyes, and nobody could see their wonderful color.
This led to a great sense of disappointment in people who were excited to see the dog, and they grew bitter and resentful over it.
Some said that a witch had placed a hex on her to keep her fur permanently shaggy. Others thought the shagginess was due to mutations in her genetic code that kept the fur that way.
Others still suggested, when the owner was out of earshot, that the dog was not a dog at all, but an old and tangled mop that had gained consciousness and learned to bark.
Whatever the reason, the fur remained shaggy, and somehow seemed to grow even shaggier.
Though the owner did not mind the shagginess, the comments became bothersome, and they attempted to trim the dog’s fur.
First they tried a standard pair of scissors, which shattered as they tried to close around the fur.
Next they tried the hedge trimmers, and those too shattered on impact.
The owner undertook a long, tedious quest to obtain the sharpest sword in the land, that might finally be able to cut the dog’s shaggy fur.
But when they found the sword, they paused, for in its polished reflection,
they could see their dog’s eyes staring back at them through the shaggy fur.

WHAT COLOR ARE THE DOG'S EYES?
